Lawal: General Buhari is the right man for Nigeria

The Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Scandinavia says there are many established facts about APC presidential aspirant General Muhammed Buhari that are not known by the ordinary Nigerian.
Ayoola Lawal told Nordic Africa News recently that recent allegations of religious fundamentalism and ethnicism against the general were work of “the corrupt elites benefiting from the jungle and unprecedented corrupt system of governance in Nigeria” who will do anything, “I mean anything to see that they tarnish the image of one of the few living legends and true patriotic Nigerian, General Muhammad Buhari.”
“How many Nigerians know that the first daughter of General Muhammad Buhari is married to an Ibo man from Anambra State?
“His cook and driver for more than a decade are Christians.
“As a Head of State, his cabinet were made of both Muslims and Christians spread across the north, south and east of Nigeria.
“In 1999, he chose an Ibo and a Catholic, Chuba Okadigbo as a running mate. In 2007, his running mate was also an Ibo man and a Roman Catholic, Edwin Ume Ezeoke. In 2010, chose a pastor from the west, Pastor Tunde Bakare as a running mate.”
“It is absolutely strange and absurdly insane to tag such a man a religious fundamentalist and ethnic jingoist and yet, some people bought this cheap and negative propaganda and they keep spreading it.”
Mr. Lawal added that “further more, even an average Nigeria knows that is a taboo to be a director at any federal parastatal or a federal political appointee without at least a property in Abuja and few other cities. I stand to be corrected though, is only General Muhammad Buhari who was – a Head of State, Minister of Petroleum and Chairman, Petroleum Tax Fund and still owns just a house built on mortgage.”
APC Scandinavia Coordinator Lawal is confident that Nigeria can make progress with General Buhari at the helm
He praised General Buhari as “a man with all capacities to have several foreign accounts in his name and not a single account could be traced to him.”
The APC Scandinavia boss added that elites are worried that when General Buhari becomes president they might go to prisons; they are “the elites who are not comfortable and very well afraid of the incorruptible integrity of General Buhari, knowing fully well that if he eventually takes the helm of Nigeria leadership by becoming the president, they might be guests in prison.”
Mr. Lawal noted that “at least, majority of Nigerians know that our country is in unchartered water and we need a leader who knows the rope and keep a tight ship in the right direction.
“General Muhammad Buhari might not a perfect leader, but he possesses all we need in a leader at this point in time of our nation.
“Prosperity will hardly forgive us all, should we fail to rise to the occasion, summon the courage and make the deserve sacrifices to collectively salvage and fix our dear great country, Nigeria now.”
