Africans struck three times on the opening day of Sweden’s top football championship, the Allsvenkan last weekend.
Senegalese striker Malick Mane scored his first ever goal in the Allsvenskan as his new club IFK Goteborg collected a 2-0 win over rivals AIK. Mane banged in the second goal in the 86th minute after coming on as a second half substitute.
Atvidabergs started its campaign on a good note with a 2-1 victory over Elfsborg. Ghana’s Mohammed Abubakari grabbed the winner in the 66th minute while Liberian forward Dioh Williams signalled that bright days are ahead when he scored the second goal as his new side Gefle drew 2-2 with Mjallby.
