UK-based group holds concert to help Liberian kids
Proceeds from the concert will benefit children at the Mother Blessing’s Home

Music for Liberia, a United Kingdom (UK)-based organization, will hold its annual charity concert on November 2 in London at the Farm Street Church for the benefit of Liberian children.
Proceeds from this concert will benefit the children at Mother Blessing’s Home in Mount Barclay, outside Monrovia, the Liberian capital.
“The concert is a celebration of music and culture, featuring a diverse line-up of world-renowned musicians, as well as a prize raffle, and a lively post-concert reception with home-cooked West African food,” notes a release issued by the organization.
There will be classical, African and jazz performances by Stephen Kovacevich (piano), Alice Zawadzki (vocals/violin), Otto & the Mutapa Calling (marimbas), Leon Bosch (double bass), Kamilla Arku (piano), Mosi Conde (kora), Ayo Vincent (piano) and young musicians from World Heart Beat Music Academy.
Music for Liberia, headed by Kamilla Arku, works with some of the world’s leading musicians to support education initiatives in post-war Liberia.
Through its fundraising events, the group and its partners are helping to rebuild Liberia by investing in the success of its most valuable resource: its youth.
