A Liberian businessman has admitted that the peaceful atmosphere prevailing in Liberia has led to a serene business climate thus encouraging investors, including himself, to invest in the West African nation.          

Cecil Brown, with business holdings in Africa and Asia, made the assertion in an interview with journalists recently in Monrovia, the Liberian capital, when one of his investments, the Confidence Insurance Brokers Incorporated, certificated over 50 Liberians who participated in an insurance brokers’ training course.

The Liberian entrepreneur said, as a businessman, he believes in empowering people so that they can fend for themselves.

He added that that is why he has expanded his investments to Liberia so as to provide opportunities for Liberians, mainly the youth, to enable them pursue their career paths along the various businesses his company is involved with.

Mr. Brown is chairman of the board of directors of the Africa-Asian Group of Company, owner of the Confidence Insurance Brokers Incorporated; the Smart Construction Company and the Ride Liberia Transportation Company.

Mr. Brown noted that the company has acquired land in the Bong Mines area to invest in agriculture, particular in food crops and cash crop production with the idea of adding value to harvested crops prior to exportation.

In the face of the sanitation challenges Liberia face, the company, Mr. Brown added, will invest heavily in sanitation by opening a subsidiary that will strictly be involved with sanitation matters.

Mr. Brown recounted that nowadays in Liberia, there is a sign of the entrenchment of the rule of law thus making investors feeling secure to invest because whenever there is glitch, the issue can be resolved in the court of law.

Showering praises on Liberians, Mr. Brown said since he returned to Liberia, he has observed that Liberians are smart and hardworking people who only need small opportunity to realize their dream.

He urged Liberians to think big and do magnificent things by making the sky the limit in whatever they undertake to do in life.
