Essay competition for Swedish students
Students at Swedish colleges and universities can submit essays to the Gender Equality Authority and compete for SEK 25,000.
The competition runs until 31 August.
Essays must be written in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or English and in any discipline, and must have a clear connection to Sweden’s gender equality policy.
“One of our basic assignments is to gather knowledge based on research and proven experience. Gender equality affects many areas of society, so the grants can be about everything from political science and criminology to medicine and business administration,” says Line Säll, senior investigator at the Gender Equality Authority.
Säll adds: “We hope to bring in many interesting essays that contribute to knowledge about the development in society. Hopefully, this competition can also contribute to more students at colleges and universities becoming interested in gender equality issues.”
