African female footballers in Sweden

On April 13, the OBS Damallsvenskan, Sweden’s top female football championship will begin with 12 top sides gunning for the titlte. 

The OBS Damallsvenskan is regarded as one of the best in the world and has its share of African players.
 
At time time of writing we could count about ten Africans registered to play this season. Although there are a few more who are biracial information about their African ancestry has yet to be revealed.
 
Ghanaian defender Portia Boakye, Nigerian midfielder Ogonna Chukwudi and South African midfielder Stephanie Malherbe are on the books of Djurgarden while Nigerian midfielders Sonia Okobie and Halimatu Ayinde will feature for Eskilstuna United.
 
Nigerian midfielder Rita Chikwelu is the sole African at Kristianstad, so are Nigerian defender Faith Ikidi at Champions club Piteå and South African defender Leandra Smeda of Vittsjo.
 
Växjo will be putting up a challenge of the title with two Africans: striker Rita Kivumbi of Uganda and defender Osinachi Ohale of Nigerian
