Taylor trial: Supermodel's appearance postponed

MAIN The UN backed special court has changed the appearance date of British supermodel Naomi Campbell.

Miss Campbell was to testify in the war crimes trial of former Liberian President Charles Taylor on July 29.

She will now appear on August 5.

The decision followed a prosecution request for postponement of the appearance.

Miss Cambell is to testify to diamonds she allegedly received from Mr. Charles Taylor in South Africa.

Meanwhile, former RUF Leader, Issa Sesay has resumed his direct examination following a one week break.

In his testimony, Mr. Sesay said it was ECOWAS that negotiated the released of hundreds of UN Personnel from RUF detention in 2000, and not Charles Taylor.
