Eritrean festival begins Thursday

MAIN All is now set for the holding of the 12th Eritrean Festival in Scandinavia. The jamboree is slated to begin this Thursday in Stockholm(Eggeby Gård, Färva Folkets Park in Spånga), the Swedish capital.

Organized by the Eritrean National Holidays Coordinating Committee and Eritrea’s embassy in Sweden, the four-day event is expected to be a  blast. Last year’s edition was also something to remember.

This year, as usual there will be plenty on offer. High level representatives of the Eritrean government will give public lectures, a children’s clown and fun fair, youth and women program and exhibition from Eritrea.

Other activities will include cultural shows, dance, music provided by Eritrean singers and musicians in the Diaspora, a cultural troupe from Eritrea, among others.

For more information, look up the festival’s website: www.festivaleritrea.se
